Carousel

Carousel

The bell rings, the race is on
Energetic horses are galloping strong
Little jockeys straddling their steed
Squeal in delight, as they pick up speed

The music blares as the carousel spins
the riders' faces adorned with grins
Boys and girls, all ages and sizes
Shriek out loud as their horse drops, then rises

The dancing stallions whirl around
The laughter of children, a glorious sound
Cameras flash, freezing memories in time
All for the cost of a nickel and dime

The magical fillies, vibrant and bright
sense that the end is almost in sight
The graceful beauties glide along
Waltzing down the last furlong

The pace slows down at the last bend
Racers aware, their time's at an end
The bell rings, the horses stop
Contenders dismount from up top

I love carousels! I hope I've managed to reflect this in my poem!
